Day 1: Arrival in Vientiane

Welcome to Laos! Upon your arrival at the airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, allowing you to soak in the charm of Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Vientiane. Visit the historic Wat Sisaket, known for its thousands of Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo. Capture photos at the iconic Patuxay Monument, and visit the sacred That Luang Stupa, a symbol of Lao heritage. In the afternoon, journey to Buddha Park, an intriguing collection of over 200 Buddhist and Hindu sculptures. End the day with a spectacular sunset over the Mekong River. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Xiengkhouang. Upon arrival, visit the Plain of Jars, a fascinating archaeological site dotted with large stone jars. Explore the ancient capital of Muang Khoun and nearby villages inhabited by the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people, rich in culture and history. Overnight in Phonsavanh (Breakfast included).

Start your day at the Central Market in Phonsavanh, where hill tribe locals barter goods. Then, embark on a scenic drive to Luang Prabang, stopping to see ancient Buddha images at Thampra and various hill tribe villages. Today, visit Luang Prabang’s oldest temples, including Wat Sene and the majestic Wat Xiengthong. Then, embark on a river cruise along the Mekong to the mystical Pak Ou Caves, filled with thousands of gold-lacquered Buddha statues. Stop at Ban Xanghai, known for its rice wine, before visiting Ban Phanom, a village famous for hand weaving. Overnight in Luang Prabang (Breakfast included).

Optionally rise early to participate in the alms-giving ceremony, a unique cultural experience. After breakfast, visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, showcasing Lao history and culture. Continue to Khouangsi Waterfall, stopping at local ethnic minority villages along the way. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the waterfall’s pools or explore the surrounding forest trails. Return to Luang Prabang, and visit Ban Xangkhong, known for silk weaving and traditional paper making. Overnight in Luang Prabang (Breakfast included).

Day 7: Luang Prabang – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy some free time at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
